Worship at St. Nicolas Church

"Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your strength."

Deuteronomy 6:4, quoted by Jesus.

Worship of God is the foundation of our life together, reflecting the first commandment of the Hebrew scriptures and of our Lord Jesus, to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength.

In a world where people often have different personal preferences we offer a variety of styles of worship, from the quiet formality of a said Communion service according to the 1662 Book of Common Prayer to the lively informality of our monthly Sunday morning Family Service. Our Parish and Family Communion services use the framework of the modern Common Worship Order One service.

We meet for worship as follows:

8 a.m.

Holy Communion (said, Book of Common Prayer)

10.30 a.m.

Family Service (1st Sunday)

Parish Communion (2nd, 4th & 5th Sundays) *

6 p.m.

Evensong (2nd & 5th Sundays)

Songs of Praise at St. Nicolas School (3rd Sunday)

Evening Worship (4th Sunday)

Thursday
